We were looking for a play phone to help us teach our 11 month old daughter about talking on a telephone. We purchased the Laugh & Learn Learning Phone. Our daughter loves it BUT the speaker for the sounds is located so that it is right by her ear when she plays phone. It will randomly play some sound (a phone ring, a voice that says "Goodbye") and we are concerned that it may damage her hearing. There is no way to adjust the volume or to have it make sounds only when we want it to except to turn it off.
