5Good, Clean Fun for the Whole Family by 4Kids4Us

There isn't much I can say about this game that hasn't already been said. But I will.

This game is labeled for ages 7+. I'll tell you, though, my boys were absolute UNO ADDICTS when they were 4. It's really easy to learn, so they caught on very quickly. For about 6 months, they played this game with my husband every day as soon as they got up in the morning and the minute he got home from work each day. We have taken a deck with us everywhere we've gone incase we've needed something to do to pass time.

We would never be without this game.

Playing with the little kids, we never keep score. We just play that whoever goes out wins.

Works for us.

5"Uno!" by M. Hart "Sci-Fi Fan"

Mattel's game of Uno has been a fun and entertaining card game for many years. The basic rules for playing Uno are as follows:

1. The deck consists of four suits (red, green, blue and yellow). Each suit contains several sets of cards numbered "0" through "9", as well as the cards "Skip", "Reverse" and "Draw Two".
2. In addition to the cards of the four suits, there are two sets of wild cards: regular "Wild" cards and the dreaded "Wild Draw Four" cards.
3. To begin play, each player begins with a score of zero. The dealer deals each player seven cards and places the remaining cards face down in the center of the playing area as the "draw stack", then turns the first card up and sets it down to create the "discard stack".
4. The goal of the game is for each player to discard as many cards as possible before the other players can. To discard a particular card, it must match the current card at the top of the discard stack either by suit or by number (or "Skip", "Reverse" or "Draw Two"). A "Wild" card can be played at any time to change current suit color. A "Wild Draw Four" card can only be played when the player has no cards matching the current suit color. If the player has no matching cards, he/she must take a new card from the draw stack.
5. When a "Skip" card is played, the next player loses his/her turn. When a "Reverse" card is played, player direction is reversed. When a "Draw Two" card is played, the next player must take two cards from the draw stack and lose his/her turn. When a "Wild Draw Four" card is played, the next player has to take four new cards and loses his/her turn.
6. If a player has only one card remaining, he/she must call out "Uno" to let the other players know. Otherwise, he/she runs the risk of having to take two new cards from the draw stack if another players catcher her/him with only one card.
7. The first player to discard all of his/her cards is the winning player of the hand. The point values of all the remaining cards that the other players have are summed together and become part of the winning player's overall score.
8. The first player to reach 500 points wins the game.

Uno is a fun game that both children and adults can enjoy for hours. Overall, I rate Uno with 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to everyone.

5Looks like I've started a new fad. by M_Girl

I'm 13, and bought a pack of UNO cards and took them to school the next day. Oops (or maybe I should say YES!) because everyone wanted to play. I must have played ten games every single day so far, and my cards are still in high demand. It is not at all hard to learn, and still a ton of fun. I strongly recommend this game!

5Product detail doesn't say it, but this is the small-card version by I care about quality

Just a heads up: if you're looking for the large-format UNO cards you remember, these are not them. The cards here are smallish playing cards, like the old airline playing card decks.

Not a big deal, but we were expecting the bigger cards and that's not what this is. I came back to see if we missed something but this product description neatly avoids saying what size the cards are, and they use the big box and "product size" fields in such a way that other people may also assume these are the large cards.

Just figured I'd let people know.

5Fun you can take anywhere by Cynthia M. Ulreich

Uno is one of those classic games that just doesn't grow old. It's appropriate for all age groups, except for the very youngest. It is a game that is easy to keep interesting, because of all the variations on rules. It is also a small game, which means it travels well.

5Uno card game by >

We enjoy playing UNO very much. We are on the hunt to find a UNO deck that is just like the ORIGINAL deck. The original deck has the words on the cards spelled out, like: SKIP, REVERSE, DRAW 2, etc., instead of the symbols for the words. We thought we had finally found some through the ad we found on Amazon which said, THE ORIGINAL set. When we got the decks, they were just like the ones we already have and not the original ones UNO looked like with the words. So, if there is anyone out there that knows where we can find the ORIGINAL cards, please let me know.

5Family Fun by By A Customer

The original UNO is a fun loving family orientated game that has been around for decades. In many families it has become a splendid tradition to play this together. This game is wonderful for all ages and it never loses its excitement.
The UNO card deck is very attractive and eye catching; its vibrant colors allow children to focus. UNO is a relatively inexpensive game; it can make for a fabulous gift. It also has very simple rules and once you learn them the fun begins.
UNO Original is a very beneficial game for children. It demonstrates to them many important skills and strategies that will help your children in school and later in life. It teaches children how to win and lose. It shows them that it is only a game.
This brilliant card game helps children to recognize colors and numbers. It is very convenient and compact in size; you can take it almost anywhere. The cards are very durable so they can survive just about everything. Parents this is a fun and educational way to get your children away from the television. It allows children the opportunity to use there brains and teaches them the ability to interact with others. It also allows parents time to spend quality time with their children in a way that both the parent and the child will enjoy.
The UNO Original is a wonderful and wholesome game for all ages which has never lost its excitement. This game is anything but boring, dull, dry, or dreary. This game gets the entire family together for good old-fashion family fun. This game will honestly be a priceless addition to your home. I can remember playing this game as a little girl; it was my favorite and it still is. I only hope that UNO will stay alive for many generations to come.

5The Best in the Universe! by Lydiah

On my college campus my friends and I are known as "The Uno People". I'm not kidding! We play everywhere - at lunch, after choir... the list goes on! I recommend this game for anyone ages 4 & up.

If you're tired of the regular rules you might try "camp rules" - a very fun mix of Uno and the popular high school card game, Mow. It's played the same way as Uno with some additional rules: you can't laugh when a 1 has been played, no talking while a 6 is on the top of the pile, when you play a 7 you must pass your hand to the left, and anyone can play at any time if they play a card of the exact color & number - and the person after them goes next. These extra rules really liven up the game and make it even more fun than the original!

5Uno ain't just for kids! by Roberto Espinell

I'll keep it real simple. When you just got some friends over, get nice and inebriated on your drink of choice, light up a spliff and whip out some UNO. The throwback nostalgia factor will suck folks in! Two hours will pass and many laughs, swears and maybe some money will pass hands.

Ain't nothing wrong with being a grown adult and playing it up. Put your pride aside and get some UNO. You'll be shocked.

5Fast Furious Fun by By A Customer

Uno is a fast and furious card game that has brought people of all ages together in laughter and sometimes raucous, but acceptable behavior. Play it once, you'll like it, twice, you'll love it, thrice--you'll be screaming "UNO" with the best of them. At get-togethers, we play a lot of new games, yet somehow always return to Uno. We can be quite an aggressive group and strategies abound as you match up your cards to your enemies (um, I mean friends) cards by color, number, or both, be the first one to get down to one card, go out, & then claim victory!

Warning: make sure you call Uno! Card buzzards can't wait to catch your mistake! Laughing...Over the years friends have added little additions to our games. My favorite is a special felt hat adorned with tacky memorabilia, we wear it if we get caught not calling UNO--and pray we can pass the hat muy pronto!

When a game can get families & friends together, encouraging back to basics fun, & make you laugh this much, it will always be numero Uno in my book.

5Good game for a family game night. by MMK

I bought this for my ten year old after he expressed an interest in playing it. He had played it with his friends and now we play it as a family all the time. It is great fun and it ends up as a great way to gather and keep the family occupied.

5Uno is Number 1 by B. Robicheaux

Uno is the best game for all families. My family loves it. The rules are simple. It is easy for both little kids and big kids to understand - just match the number or match the color. It is also very fun and we love the competitive edge in making your neighbor pick "four cards". But watch out - your neighbor can reverse the flow of action and make you pick "four cards".

5UNO is a game for all ages! by "Sam" Walls

I know there are several newer versions of this game, but the old standby is just as much fun as it ever was. Even a game between two people -- I play with my 8-year-old grandson -- is a lot of fun, and it's quality time well-spent with my loved one.

5Most inexpensive fun ever! by Woo Jae Park "Wooste

Well, it took me and some friends a few minutes to figure out the non-worded cards like reverse and skip, but it plays just like any other deck of uno.

With a few rule changes, the game becomes really fun and crazy. Two decks of Uno it is endless fun. Some rules are:

1. if you have the same card that is on the table, you can cut in with the exact same card, which allows you to skip others.

2. the draw fours and draw twos stack. you can stop it with the same color function or wild draw four.

the above is the simple and easy way to speed up the game, and makes for great fun for the family.

Great product, and for $14 cheapest way for 2 decks for endless fun.

5Lots of fun for the Family. by JMJO "JMJO84"

This is yet another way to have fun witht he family without using electricity. It allows you to talk to your family members while you play and I think it helps to keep the family together.

Our family enjoys all types of games and this is a classic. This one I gifted to others for Christmas.

5Fun To Play That You Never Want To Put It Down by Wilmer Diaz

This past month i was on vacation visiting my family in Panama. I took out the Uno Cards one night and we started playing. My cousins got addicted and wanted to play every night so we did. The second night i decided to spice it up a bit and add these blank colored cards that i guess come in the packaging as replacements and decided to use them as any card other than a Wild or Wild Draw Four card, meaning it can be used as a regular color and number card, a draw two, skip, or Reverse card. Ah man we had so much fun after i did that, that we kept using the idea, and made the game so much more fun. The last couple of nights we played before i had to leave, just 1 hand took us about a couple of hours to finish, it was like playing a game of Monopoly that you didn't know when it was going to finish as it was back and forth all night. I played with a strategy in mind whch was to prevent anyone but myself from winnning when they were low on cards and i had like 20 cards in my hand and all of them were draw twos and draw four cards and i combined them all in one play and kept the Wild Draw four as my "Uno" card to automatically win the game. It was alot of fun and had me realizing how much fun Uno can be if you set your own rules sometimes to mix it up and keep it fun.

53 year old loves it by Brad C.

We brought out the UNO deck to see if our child (3 1/2) at the time would like to play... a week later and we were still playing 10 or more games a day and loosing more often than not. So don't let the age range stop you from enjoying the game with the younger kids. It is great to learn colors, number, fair play, turns, etc... We loved UNO as children and it has been a great experience playing it as a family.

There are lots of other versions of UNO and kids card packs but the original one is still the best.

5Best deck of cards to have around! by Michelle R. Barnett

We all love it in our family! Very good for the younger kids learning about numbers, colors and counting...with a little help. Def. bring this with you camping...one of our necessities! If you love this try skip-bo another favorite!

5Can't Stop Playing by Wisconsin Dad

Uno is a colorful and fun card game that will have you hooked after 10 minutes. The pace is fast, and there's plenty of strategy to keep your interest. The player who empties their hand first wins, but watch out - you can easily go from having 1 card in your hand to 10 cards if you don't have the right color. You'll be saying, "let's play again!"

5A toy fun for all ages! by >

Uno is currently my favorote game because I play with it about once in two days. It's more fun to play it with 3 or more people than 2 people because there's more action. When you first buy it, it just looks like a regular card game but Uno's way more than that! Uno's fun for everyone!

5Not The Same Cards I Remember by AnnH.

Recently I was re-introduced to the marvelous card game called "Uno". I love this game. My family used to play it all the time. I decided to order a deck. I am disappointed in the size and thinness of the cards. They also do not have the same graphics as the orignial game that I used to play, which is not a big deal but... Card size is small 3.5" X 2.25" compared to the "original" cards which were approx 5" X 7". I did find the original cards on another site and think I will be happier with these!

5Uno is Fun by Ralph F. Chapmaan "C

This game is so Easy...yet so much Fun. Based on both Numbers and Colors I can see the educational value with young children.

The advanced version "Uno Attack" is Really Killer. Master the first before you move up.

5Fun for Most Ages by LiLisa

Uno is definitely a fun game. My friends introduced me to it when I was in Elementary School, and we haven't stopped playing it yet. In fact, to pass the time in homeroom class throughout our school careers we would have Uno competitions at least once a week, a tradition that has followed us to college (well, for those of us attending the same college.)
The rules are simple to learn and the best part is you can agree upon your own variations to the game if you wish. Change it so it suits you and your family/friends; so that it's something you'll all catch on to quickly, understand, and enjoy. (Just make sure you all agree to them before playing!)
This small pack of cards is convenient to take along anywhere. You can slip it into a purse or backpack so that when you're looking for something to do with others, you have a fun and challenging game on hand. Would definitely recommend for family gatherings, vacations, or just a game night with friends.

5nice card game. by Wen-chun Cheng

My 3 and 6 years old daughter enjoying playing this game, even 3 years old can learn how to play, and have fun and win. Nice game.

5PR Uno Review by Patricia L. Robinson

Uno Card decks were received well packaged and without any damage. Decks were also received within a few days after the order was placed. This game has educational value depending on age of player. However, it is fun for all age groups including senior adults.

5Gift for my Grand-daughter by Robert Snead

I purchased the UNO game for my Grand-daughter to use when she visits. We play when we visit Atlanta, big fun!

5Great fun and an unexpected surprise. by kk2010

Uno has been around forever, and it's a lot of fun to play so we ordered it for the family to play. The first night we received the cards, my husband and I stayed up late just to play the game. I started looking at the package the cards came in and I noticed that it was the 40th anniversary edition of the game, a pleasant surprise. Also, the cards look just like the classic version. I hate it when they change the face of the cards to make it "newer", but these cards look exactly like the originals.

5Fun and Easy to Play by Rei

I love Uno because it takes five minutes to explain the game play, and you can play for as long as you want. Plus, the game doesn't take forever to end. It's also the most portable game ever.

A few reviews already mentioned the rules of the game, but the basic idea is that you try to match the card of the previous person who played by the number or color of the card they played. There are other tricky cards to the games, such as "Reverse" where the order of who plays changes or "Wild Draw 4" where you can choose a new color to play and make your next opponent draw four more cards from the center pile. You win when you're the first to get rid of all your cards. It's VERY easy to learn, yet it's super fun to play.

Every time my friends are bored or something, I just pull out this game and we're entertained for as long as we want to be.

If you're looking for a way to cure boredom, just buy this game. You won't regret this purchase. It's only a couple of bucks, and you can play it over and over again.

5Good, simple, easy to involve a lot of people by J. XU "Fiona"

It's a interesting and easy game, even for people who completely have no idea of this, so it is really good to work in a party.

5great game, timeless by Ina Karp "younme"

you can't tire of UNO, it will always be a favorite!
of coarse if you play it often the cards bend and you have to get a new
set, but that's to be expected.

5The Uno and only. by hugo

I just started playing Uno and it can be a thoroughly entertaining time, depending on the number of people and their general dispositions. The cards are well-made, sturdy, and easy-to-read. The instructions included are detailed and simple to read and comprehend. In fact, we often referred back to the rules for clarification and never found the answer to be ambiguous or unhelpful. Fun.

5UNO...A classic that's still great by Dr.L "lulu2914"

I played UNO often as a kid, and now we play with my 5 year old. She loves it! I highly recommend it...but don't let the little people in the house get ahold of the cards. My two year old likes to "play" UNO too, but he can be rough on the cards!

5UNO!!!! Enough Said by Chauncey Jackson

This is my favorite childhood game ever, period. I remember playing this game when it was a stormy day when my little cousins came to visit a couple years ago. We had so much fun and it doesn't get old. This game is for all ages and I'm 25. I love it.

5A little bit different but the same old good by infiniteconsumer

The cards differ a bit from the original game but the learning curve is not steep. Still the same game. Fun.

5FUN GAME..BRINGS BACK MY CHILHOOD by JT

..THE CARDS ARE NICE BUT NOT AS THICK AS THEY USED TO BE WHEN I WAS A KID....THE SKIPS ARE JUST ARROWS..AND IT SAYS +2 OR +4 INSTEAD OF "DRAW"..THEY USED TO BE SO SELF EXPLANITARY..NOW ITS MOSTLY PICTURES..I TOOK ME A SECOND TO REMEMBER WHAT THE CARDS MEANT...WELL..IT HAS BEEN 15 YRS SINCE I PLAYED..BUT IT COMES WITH DIRECTIONS AND WILL WORK JUST FINE...THE OLD ORIGINAL "UNO" CARDS ARE MORE EXPENSIVE AND HARDER TO FIND...THESE ARE STILL WORTH A FEW BUCKS FOR MANY NIGHTS OF FAMILY FUN...

5Uno Cards are the Best by Satisfied

You can't go wrong with UNO. It is simple to learn if you've never played them and they don't get old if you've played them all your life.
Perhaps it was the particular company that sent me Toy Story UNO cards when a purchased regular ones. But the Toy Story themed UNO cards are fun and create visual interest. They actually have an extra card with a new rule that makes it more fun.

5Always fun by Rachel E. Gray "Reg"

This UNO deck looks different than the ones I remembered from my childhood: instead of words that give instructions, there are now pictures and symbols, to make the game easier to play for those who can't read or don't speak English. I guess this is a nice touch. It didn't affect how fun the game is in any way. And, indeed, the game is as fun as I remembered. We had a lot of fun playing it for hours.
