Fun game for the young Buzz Lightyear fan. I thought my youngest son might be scared by the "BUZZZ" when you hit the edges, but what do you know? They've changed the sound! All kinds of beeps and spacey sounds; not nearly as startling (maybe that makes it less fun for the older boys and us parents that remember the old ones?!) Still a fun game!
Buzz Lightyear themed Operation Game by Sharon Sammis
This is a fun family night game, however, it does require some small muscle coordination so it could be a bit frustrating for the younger child. We have a 5 year old who can do it, however, the box says 6 and up and that is a truer picture of who might play w/o frustration.
Not what I expected by Samantha
It's been a long time since I've had the game Operation, but this one just seemed to be a flimsy piece of cardboard in a plastic lining. Not really that impressed. Luckily, it was a gift for an adult Toy Story fan, so the durability isn't such a big deal.
My kids (5yo) are obsessed with Operation! It's a simple, but fun game. You can pick this up, however, at Big Lots for $5 right now.
Great for Toy Story Fans! by E. Kennedy
I was a little skeptical about this but they really did a great job designing this Toy Story version of Operation. The space ailments are very funny, even Buzz Lightyear needs a tune up sometimes! The buzzer sound has been replaced by space-y sounding beeps etc which aren't as irritating or startling as the old classic sound.
My kids love Buzz so this game was an instant hit for my 4 and 6 year old. My daughter is able to work on fine motor skills and my son loves to be the banker as he is just learning how to count money. They even have fun taking turns because it is just as much fun to watch as it is to play.
Just as fun as the Operation I played as a child! by D. Fitch
My children enjoy the Buzz Lightyear Operation game. Adding the money/payment for surgery to it is great for money interested kids. Plus, it helps with counting as well. The only drawback I found was that one of the parts to surgically remove was not in it. We use a little piece of plastic instead.
My 4 years old friend's son was very happy with this toy. Altough he cannot read it yet, he can play taking the "sickness" away from Buzz. Suggestion: Spanish version.
Somebody Call Me a Doctor by J. S. Horner "Okie f
I bought this for my second-grade grandson for Christmas. He is a little hyperactive, so I thought this might give him pause to concentrate and develop some fine motor skills. He really likes it.
I bought this for my Granddaughter for Christmas and she is only 4. She can't play the game as instructed by enjoys trying to remove "Buzz's" bones. We discuss the names of the parts and she is learning the proper names anyway. She practices removing the parts without making it buzz. As she grows she'll learn to play it the proper way but for now it's fun like it is.
