5The Best Toy Animals Around by Vicki Lamendola "sep

When my daughter redecorated my three-year-old grandson's room, she decided on jungle animals. I found these and added them to his birthday gifts. When he opened the box, he forgot about the other gifts. They have become his (and his 2-year-old sister's) favorite toys. They are HUGE - about 8" - 12" each, and easy for little hands to hold. They are also actual depictions of the animals they represent. They are study and well-made, too. And when the kids are not playing with them, they look great on the top of the bookshelf. Even though they cost a bit more than most plastic animals you find in stores, their quality - and size - make them worth it.

5A great toy for animal-loving tots by Grandma Sandy

My 4-years old grandson loves wild animals, and his favorite is the giraffe. When I saw that the giraffe in this set is 13 inches tall, I knew that I had to buy it for him. The animals are made of high-quality plastic, the faces are quite realistic, and the jumbo size makes them a lot more fun to play with. My grandson loves them.

5My son LOVES these! by Boston Tiger Dad

For some time, my son has been fascinated with the animals he sees at zoos and on television. I was going through some ideas for Christmas presents and came across this set. Though the elephant and giraffe are his particular favorites, all of them receive much loving use. Their entertainment and educational value has been as great as their durability, as they have survived numerous car trips and gleeful tossings around the rooms of our home. If your child is at all interested in animals, especially zoo animals, I could not recommend this set more highly.

5Not as nice as I was hoping. by Kara Forristall

First thing I noticed when I opened the bag, the sizes of the animals are odd, they don't go "together" i.e. the elephant is off scale in comparison to the giraffe. Also, they are not made very well. the places where the plastic pieces were joined is very rough and noticeable and the paint job on a few of them looks as if it was done by a young child... I hope it wasn't. I'm unhappy with the giraffe the most, his feet don't sit evenly on the floor, so he tips over easily. I just got a German made animal by Schleich and there is just no comparison. The Schleich animals are far superior in every way, especially with how real they look. These are hollow and very poorly made. The only thing I like is how big they are, my son loves these giant jungle animals, esp the gorilla, I only wish they were of better quality. I'm glad I got them on sale because they are not worth the full price. I will not be buying any other sets, but I'll keep these around until he's finished with them, then they they'll be donated.

5Lots of Fun! by T. Elstran

We got my 2 year old son a set of these for Christmas because he has been very interested in animals. I love the fact that these are so kid friendly, large enough to not pose a choking hazard and they seem to be very durable which is always a plus with boys!

5It is the best animal set EVER! by E. Pivovarova

My kids have tons of toys!

But even me and my husband were really impressed with this toy set (we bought farm, jungle and forest). My son loves any animal from these set, but rooster is his favorite. I think because it is the most bright from all animals.

These animals are huge, durable and catch the eye! Even my dog seemed to be interested (in horse). They are really huge! And this is great!!!

Our friend has set of small animals which are really boring and these are HUGE HUGE HUGE!!! And they are so realistic! All tiny details, eyes are perfectly developed. Regarding the "sew line" that the author from most critical review mentioned... Have you ever saw a plastic item without sew lane? It doesn't matter at all. Kids love this set!

Great!

This makes a great educational time as my son brings an animal to me and wants me to name it. He is interested finaly in animals! We have books, puzzles but they were not so interesting to study the names of animals.

Besides these set are not too big, you don't have 30 farm or 25 jungle animals. It will be too hard for young kid to remember who is who anyway. You get just a right amount of animals, the main ones.

I would suggest to add wolf to a forest set. And instead of gorilla put another monkey, more friendly and brightly type. I am scared of gorillas in general, but this one looks friendly.

5My toddler is crazy about it and the Dinossaur set too! by Danielle L. Thorough

My toddler is crazy about it and the Dinossaur set too. I see his imagination working through the plays he creates. Only thing is that the color of his favorite dino is kind of fading away on the edges, but the company guarantees it's non-toxic, so it's ok. I intend to by the farm and insect sets too.

5Great for Animal Lovers by Lynne Browning "Lyn"

I bought this toy for my Grandson who was four at the time; he did not care for them, mostly because he is more of a "game" boy. However, my 2-year-old grandson absolutely LOVES them!! The animals are so life-like and the giraffe is huge! They are made from a very durable plastic, but not rigid and hard. These animals are the first thing he goes for when he comes to Grandma's house!

5Great quality! nice size by Jen

My son got these at 20 months old and played with them nonstop. They are absolutely his favorite toys. They are not heavy, actually pretty light, and the perfect size. The giraffe is over a foot tall! I waant to get the others now :)

5They mean JUMBO by Jessica "mommy of 2"

WOW I was shocked when these showed up. I guess I didn't expect the box or the animals to be such a good size. These are wonderful looking! I am giving them to my daughter for her 2nd birthday and wish I would have picked up more for other kids for their birthdays! I got a great price and I love these!

5These are BIG by H. A. Mays "jinx pro

I just bought these for my 3 yr old son and they arrived yesterday. I read the description but I was still surprised at how big these are. They are great for playing and make believe. They also dont kill your foot if you accidentally step on one. I will be buying the other collections.

5Ludo by Ludo

These animals are fabulous recreations of the real thing, for toddlers to play with and learn. They are a great size for little hands to grip. Very realistic for early learning toys.
I intend to gather the whole series they are such fun.

5Toddler's favorite by JNPMLS

My toddler loves these large animal sets. I am pleased with the more-realistic looking animals, especially the more-realistic relative sizes. Though more realistic replicas exit, these are among the best I've seen for toys. The small fact sheet that came with the set will be lost before my toddler can read it; however, I did learn a few facts that I've been sharing with him while we play. The construction seems sturdy. Between the sets that we own, we haven't lost any animals to rough play.

A final word of warning, these animals are large. Do not underestimate the size. I was surprised at the height of the giraffe, even though I should have realized based on the size of the other animals we have from Learning Resources. Luckily we built our toy shelf with a 15in gap, which means the 13in giraffe can stand with the other animals.

5Horrible Quality--Very Unimpressed by Sara B.

Maybe we received a bad batch, but our experience with these Learning Resources Jumbo Zoo Animals was terrible. I bought these animals for my 20-month old son for Christmas, but they are returning to Amazon in the mail as I write. Our first impression on opening the box Christmas morning was, "we paid $20 for these?" They aren't even close to worth it. As at least one other reviewer mentioned, the paint job is poor. The colors are not as bright or distinct as the picture implies. There was a crack in the plastic of the lion's foot and a rough, unsightly seam on its back--clearly a mistake in the molding process, not something purposeful. The lion's tail started coming off after 30 seconds of gentle handling. It's really too bad, the idea here--some play animals safe for toddlers--is great. My son was enthralled for the 2 minutes we let him play with them and if they had been nice enough to keep, I'm sure they would have been much loved. Thankfully we were able to distract him and get them packed back up. We'll wait until he is older and invest in some Schleich or Safari LTD figures instead.

5A BIG hit. by Gregory "AT-JEFFT"

This was a gift for a 2 yr. old. The larger size was great. Would definitely recommend along with the zoo animals.

5cheap looking, poorly constructed, not worth the $$ by eotmove

I love the idea of these large safari animals, but for the price, I was surprised at how cheap, flimsy, and unattractive they are - all of the animals are made of super hard, unyielding plastic with awkwardly placed, visible seams and the colors are way off - as in, the tiger and lion are both construction cone orange. I guess I expected a higher quality product with more attention to detail given the pricepoint. Unfortunately the packaging was destroyed on opening the product - I wish I could send them right back.

5Great toy by Tugce

They are realistic, durable and fun to play with.
My son started to play with them when he was 18 months old. He plays with them in the bath tub, he slides them down the slide, he sits on them... And they are still as good as new. Now he is 28 months old and he still plays with them with great enthusiasm. I sometimes put away some toys to bring back later. Whenever I put these away he asks for them immediately!

5My two-year-old grandson loves these too by Edith B. Gazzuolo

I bought this set and the farm animal set and he loves them both. Perfect size for him. He loves going to the zoo and this set reinforces what he sees and names at the zoo.

5Amazing. by masque3000

These animals are amazing to me & my toddler. They are way bigger than I expected. The only reason I gave durability 4 stars is because some of the tails look like a really rough kid could pull them off. Other than that, I don't see you finding any better animals than these, for the price!

5Attractive Large Animals by

Animals are big and exciting for little kids. Details are good. The quality is good but you can see the seams where the plastic pieces are joined. Overall I will recommend this for 1-3 year olds.

5Awesome - wish had bought sooner by rely on feedback for

These animals are really realistic & if your child enjoys animals then get these. I would have liked to bought them sooner now that I see how much fun they are & they are very durable. I liked that the animals were enclosed in a plastic bag inside a very NICE sealed box. You know it is new & it was double sealed. I really don't like when toys aren't sealed/open as they can get dirty/dusty & it is impossible on these since they are sealed twice.

5MY SON LOVES TO PLAY WITH THESE ANIMALS by Happy Mom

We bought this toy (along with the Pets & Farm Jumbo collection) for my son's 2 birthday. He loves to carry around the animals, hide them and play with them. He also has started to name some of the animals and make their sounds. The animals are large, very realistic and durable. I am planning on buying him the other collections in the future. GREAT TOY!!

5Jumbo Jungle Animals by MarieNOLA

I love these big safari animals. I'm using them to decorate the baby's room and when he's big enough he'll be able to play with them.

5Excellent learning toy! by 5StarAddict "M"

My son loves these toys and after 2 days was able to identify all of them. This is definitely a great way to reinforce learning. As a matter of fact, I played a youtube video of a giraffe & elephant and he was able to point to the tv and say them both out loud while pointing. I'm continually impressed my the products put out by Learning Resources. Some complain about the scale but I feel the details help children learn identification. (It is funny to see the dog & cat from a separate Learn Res. animal set the equivalent size as the elephant and gorilla) The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating for durability was the tail on the elephant looks like it could be pulled out as a child grows. Otherwise they are realistic looking for learning purposes.

5Good Toys by Gramps

My wife, a teacher, was amazed at the color and quality of these animals. These are for a play-diorama for my grandson, and will stand up to many play hours. They appear to be indestructible and are high-quality reproductions.

5Great pretend play by Michael A. Phelps "T

Larger size than most pretend play animals so they are great for toddlers. My 1 year old ad 3 year old love them!

5Great toy by Courtney A

Even better than I thought it was going to be. Animals are large & great for little hands. Gave as a gift & wasn't able to find anything similiar in stores. Great product would highly recommend.

5Fun at the zoo by childrenshouldplay

We ordered these to take with us for my 21 month olds first trip to the zoo. As soon as I got them I gave them to her to see what she thought, she was crazy about them right from the start, especially the elephant and giraffe. She even tried to sit on them and ride them (which surprisingly they withstood). I loved that they are large enough I don't have to worry about her choking on them. They are made out of soft plastic which is (so far) very durable, so I don't have any concern about pieces breaking off, etc. They were still small enough that they easily fit into the cargo area of her stroller with the diaper bag, camera, my purse, etc. We showed her each toy animal as we came to the real one. When we got home she has remembered the names of all the animals we saw (the ones we didn't see, she is having trouble remembering). Her zoo experience has definitely strengthened her love for the toys. The only negative thing I can say about them so far is that, while they seem to be very durable, some of the craftsmanship is not the best quality (it is definitely not the worst either, though). The seams where the plastic was welded together are pretty visible, and the paint job could be better, but of course my daughter doesn't care a bit about that. Before I purchased them I saw that some of the reviews mentioned this as wellI, and you can actually see this in some of the online pictures. When looking at them from a distance, it is not noticable unless you are really looking hard for it. Either way, I feel like the online images gave me a fair representation of the product, and I feel like it was a great deal for the money, either way. I would definitely recommend this item, and intend to purchase the other jumbo animals sets in the future.

5very pleased by Dana H. Touchberry

My son just received this set for his second birthday-he really likes them-nice big size for little hands-

5High quality animals by Tabitha Madill

Animals are the rubbery plastic that doesnt break or hurt as bad if they get stepped on. No sharp spots. Pretty large, the Giraffe is very tall and cant be all the way on the shelf because his head hits the next one. Accurate looking and moderately detailed. Perfect if you just want toy animals that dont use batteries or anyting.

5Jungle Animals by B. Clark "photogram"

If your child loves animals, this is a wonderful set. They are larger than regular animals toys. I have purchased 2 sets for different children and they received an immediate vote of approval. I recommend these...they are sturdy and fun too.

5Wonderful Jumbo Animals for hours of kid friendly fun! by A Research It Maven

We bought the Jumbo Dinosaurs for the 4 yr old and the Jumbo Jungle set for the 6 yr old. They consistently return to playing endless games with these sets over more sophisticated "toys." No matter that historically they did not exist together, great games and/or battles are invented around these two Learning Resources sets time after time. An excellent investment in view of the return we've gotten. Quality toys that build/ create imagination. We have no issues with the value of any Learning Resources items. Recommended.

5Over-rated, over-priced, poor craftmanship ... Disappointment. by Nikita666

Bought all 3 sets (jungle animals, domestic pets & farm animals) based on the raving reviews but only to be disappointed! Thank goodness though I bought them on sale, it's definitely not worth what they are charging for! Poorly crafted, the bigger animals (dog, gorilla, horse, cow) all appears to be "decapitated" - the sewn line right around the animal's necks; Mr. Giraffe occurs to have a severe hemorrhage - rather unpleasant!. Where the sewn line met, edges are jagged, bad paint job (lead based paint?) not that realistic as some reviews claimed.
My 18 month old son did have a blast with them (bravo for those jumbo sizes); however to an animal friendly/loving/savvy parent, it's rather disturbing to have to explain to the young child why the cat and the dog (catzilla & dogzilla?) are much bigger than the cow!
Paid almost 3 figures for all 3 sets (total of 15 animals). Look around - I found same quality, tag smaller animals for a fraction each at Walmart. Only set-back with those from Walmart are that there is only limited variety of animals. Ugh, we could have had a safari of 90 animals at that price!

5Learning Resources Jumbo Jungle Animals by Heywood Jablomee "IA

My daughter loves these and they're of decent size for small hands. The giraffe is bigger than I thought it would be. Seem durable and a decent toy for the animal loving types of kiddos.

5Frankenstien Jungle Animals by Crunchy Mamma

I agree with another person who reviewed, about the quality of these animals. I too purchased 4 of these sets for my daughter and nephew, I was disappointed. The Jungle animals look like they have been cut into slices and then welded together? The kids point it out everytime. I was hoping that at such a steep price they would be of a thicker heavier material and of better quality. And I also have fear about the paint being lead based. The other sets look a little better. I will do better research next time. All in all the kids play with these and do enjoy them.

5Durable animals by Adrienne C. Baker

I purchased these jungle animals for my one year old grandson for Xmas. They are a little too big for a one year old in my opinion. These animals are more suitable for a toddler around age 3. He does love them and tries to make the sounds of the animal.
