I bought this as a Christmas gift since Leapfog products are normally a safe bet and this wand was no different! It is just adorable. It's pretty simple, you press a button and it starts to play really cute music and as you shake the wand it makes different sounds. My 3 year old thought it was so funny hearing a cat meow while she was shaking to the beat of the music. When she discovered the tempo button could make the music go really fast it was really funny and we all started to "dance" really fast to her music. For the price it's a surprisingly fun gift. I would definatly say a great little toy for toddlers.

My 15 month old loves to dance. Put music on and he literally will stop in his tracks and just start groovin:) He enjoys this toy because it's portable music that he can take with him and control himself. One of the things I was looking forward to was the way it would make different sounds as he moved it around, however, I was a little disappointed in this area. I was expecting some zany BOINGs and ZONKs...much like a hammer that he has....but the sounds are pretty low key and don't interrupt the music or anything....I'm not even sure he notices they're there. But he does enjoy it for the musical aspect.

The Leapfrog Learn and Groove Music Wand is the perfect gift for an active two year old who loves music. Our granddaughter has always enjoyed spinning and dancing to music. The wand provides the music, the movement, and rhythm she loves. She is getting physical activity while learning more about rhythmic movement. For the child who loves music, this toy has provided hours of fun. Just another great toy from Leapfrog...we are fans.
This has been a favorite of my two year old for the past year. It's one of those toys that I have to hide every once in a while because I need a break...need I say more?

We bought this for our 21 month old for Christmas. He absolutely loves it! He is too young for the game part of it, but loves waving it around and pushing the buttons to make the tempo go faster. The best part about it is that our 3 and 5 year olds love it too. They can actually do the freeze dancing and game part of it. I would definitely recommend this toy to anyone who has kids that like music.

I bought this for my 21 month old daugther and she loves it. I wouldn't say she loves it for what it's meant to do but more for banging it on everything in her path. So I guess it is a good thing that it is durable... all in all, great product, it keeps my baby girl happy and entertained.

My daughter loves this toy. She gets mad if we shut it off when she is not playing with it. Used the toy on a long road trip and it kept her occupied.

Not my favorite LeapFrog toy by CDAWN
As a huge fan of LeapFrog toys, I was a bit disappointed with this purchase. My 1-year old daughter loves music, so I thought this would be a fun toy. It's certainly not a horrible toy, but neither she, nor my 2-year old son, found it very entertaining. They waved it around a few times, but it was quickly tossed aside for other things. Definitely better for much younger children who are more entertained by simple lights and sound. Definitely lacking in educational value for toddlers or older children.
I bought this wand for my 12 month old (who I realize is not at the target age). He loves things that light up and play music and he also loves to wave things around. I figured he would really love this thing. It does keep him entertained for about 10 minutes. The songs are cute and he has figured out how to change the tempo. When you shake the wand, sound effects are played, but they are too soft to be heard over the main song that is playing. I've tried playing the game portion myself and it is just a simple "freeze when the music stops" game. I thought there would be a little more involved than that. I do expect that he will grow into this toy, but it's not quite as fun as I'd hoped.

Not what I expected by M. Habing
I expected this to be a more fun, exciting toy. For a younger one, the game mode where they "freeze" is not understandable. For an older one, the standard mode is boring. In standard mode, music plays and then by moving or shaking it, a sound is added to the music. Not really that exciting!

My niece loves this toy, got it for Christmas but she opened it. I suppose its my fault for getting it so early. She found her new favorite toy.
