5The panda is my newborn's BFF! by Mama Will

My newborn loves the panda. He can coo and gurgle at it for 30 minutes uninterrupted. He lies on his back and I put the panda next to him (they say newborns prefer to see things from the side?) It must be the black and white contrast and those big eyes. He often reaches and touches it smiling all the while. He loves the music too. Honestly, the panda is his best friend forever!

5ITS NOT WASHABLE. by Daphne Katz

If your comfortable with dirt, this toys for you! Baby toys that cant easily be cleaned are a terrible idea. My 6 month son loves this thing but after he teethes on it for a little while it is completely soaked, the he drops it on the floor where it gets coated with who knows what (not that my floors are very dirty) it gets very gross. then he wants to put it right back in his mouth. Which I can handle for a day or so, but after that I want to throw it in the washer so hes not eating day old drool/spit-up/floor dirt mud. But the music box is not washable and not easily removed. I have disassembled this thing twice to clean it (not an easy task, requiring wire cutters, a sewing needle, thread, and removing/replacing stuffing and tiny wires) but its becoming much more hassle than its worth. I am just going to throw it away before he becomes too attached. I would hate to have to tell him he cant have his favorite toy. What a shame they didn't make the music box removable because it really is a good toy.

5Very Cute by ellie34590

So cute! This toy is easy for my son to hold and snuggle and the music wonderful!

I saw some other reviewer had challenges in activating the toy - the directions say to press the hands and feet - the stomach is not actually a button, so hopefully this review will help other moms.. My baby loves it and the music is great! Great item and a good value.

5Love at first sight! by J. Arena

Little Brian instantly fell in love with this vibrant, smiling panda. He is actually mesmerized by the sound and the feel of this toy, and just loves to hold him!

Baby Einstein Press and Play Pal Toy is highly recommended! (Gotta love that Panda's face.)

5I think this toy is possessed! by SugarBug

This toy will turn itself on without anyone pressing on its hands and feet. One time it started playing music while on the couch. No one was touching or sitting near it. Either way this toy is not a motion activated toy, so it shouldn't have done that. Most recently I heard it go off several times in the middle of the night! It really creeped me out! Needless to say it has been off and will remain off from here on out.

Other than that I've also experienced similar issues other commentators complained about such as:

1. The maraca hand sometimes works, but not always.
2. My daughter has never really shown much interest in it despite how visually stimulating it is. I bought her a classic Glow Worm yesterday and she has taken way more interest in it in just one day than she has in this Panda that she has had since she was born.
3. I agree with other commentators saying that the tunes are short and the instruments all sound very similar. Not that my daughter knows any different or cares, but I know it's not supposed to sound that way and having very short tunes is a rip off. Again, the Glow Worm has a similar yet much more basic concept and yet the tunes sound much better, are more complex, and last longer.
4. The velco opening on the back is not big enough, which makes it hard to close. Which is a bummer when regulating the volume and the on/off switch.

5Disappointment by Lisa Kendall

The only reason I didn't give this toy 1 star is because my 7 month old daughter can pick it up and hold it. However, she's not really into this toy as much as I thought she would be.

It's supposed to play 5 tunes, which would make you think that the belly is a button, but it's not. If you press a hand or foot it will play a tune with the illustrated instrument. If you press the same button again, it will play the compilation tune. One of the foot buttons has already broken. The battery pack in the back is a little too big for the velcro to cover, so it looks really cheaply made.

5best friend to my twin 4 month olds by A. Spencer

My twins love love love this bear. It helps them to fall asleep for naps everyday and they could just stare at it for hours. The music makes them kick their legs and wave their arms in delight day after day.

Only complaint is the tunes are so short. Well worth the $10.

5Great entertainment/distraction on the changing table! by L. Knouse

This was given to us by my best friend who has a son that adored this toy. My son has always been a squirmy-worm on the changing table, but fortunately he is mesmerized by music. This musical turtle did the trick. Each hand/foot plays a different intruments' part to a short tune when pressed, while the tummy plays the entire song with all the instruments. We even came up with little motions to go with each instrument, which he loved (e.g., tapping out the drum rhythm on this tummy). One thing I enjoy about this toy is that, unlike a lot of his other musical toys, the music snippets are brief and engaging rather than shrieking on and on so that the child just tunes it out.

Overall, 5 stars says it all!

5perfect for llittle ones who love visual stimulation by JoAnn from Frostburg

I bought this and several others for my beautiful grandson, Oliver. He is growing so quickly and amazes us everyday with his knowledge of his surroundings and how they work and interact. This is a great gift that will give him hours of fun and stimulation which is so important at his age. Soon to be 1 year old, his knowledge base is evolving by leaps and bounds, so it is important to keep him stimulated and interested in learning about his surroundings and how things work. I bought Mozarts musical cube as well, and Yo Gaba Gaba bath tub stickers. All are great ways for you to interact with your child and help stimulate his experiences with his world around him using tactile, visual, and auditory stimilation as teaching tools. Just throw yourself in this mix and you have a fun and invaluable experience for you and your child.( or your grandchild)!

5Baby Einstein Press and Play Pal Toy, Panda by hpowers

The actual toy was a lot smaller than I imagined it would be. There were only two songs that it played which was kind of disappointing. Besides that it was a great baby gift with easy buttons that can be pushed.

5smaller than expected by mommabear

my one year old, whom i bought it for, doesnt seem interested at all.i have a one month old however that maybe if i introduce it to pretty early maybe he will atleast like it.

5Wish I could have played with it b4 I bought it :( by not yo momma

I read some of the reviews that said one of the hands didnt work.... well I dont know why I didnt listen :( as soon as I opened the product one of the hands didnt work. I was a little bummed about it, but I kept messing with it and finally got it to work. It works sometimes. I think the description said it played 5 different songs, its actually the same song but with 5 different instruments. Baby Einstein has lots of good products, this just isnt one of them. Cute panda though :)

5great little toy by Cathy "throttlemom"

Just perfect for little hands and she loves loves loves the music! She even dances to the music...a hit even after a year of use!

5disappointed by mysticbutterfly

unfourtantley when i opened the package i just sat there staring at and thinking i spent thirteen dollars on this? over and over again. i never saw one of these in a store so iam not sure on the pricing and if it was a fair trade. But the lion is small, less than half the size i thought it would be and the feet have diff musical instuments but they sound basically the same..............i was just overall disappointed.

5My 2 month old loves it!! by WhitneyC

Great toy! My 2 month old daughter stares and coos at it. She can't push the buttons herself yet, of course, but soon she will. It has a loop on the back of it and so I have attached it to her play mat and pack and play mobile and she stays stimulated and soothed.

5Panda Bear by Jessica

I just received this panda bear today. It is very cute, and the batteries are already in it ready to go. I thought the bear would be bigger, but it's about an inch taller then a coke can. Each foot and hand makes different musical instruments sounds, but both hands and feet also play the SAME song, which I thought was odd. I would have liked it better if it was different tunes with each hand and foot. Hands and feet on bear are very easy for my child to latch on to, over all I am satisfied, and Elijah seems to enjoy it for now. Thanks.

5Interesting character by Mann

My kid often watch baby einstein video and she love it so much. Then we bought baby einstein baby stand with lion char attached. She looked very happy with lion. So we decided to buy her lion doll. When she saw this lion, she got happy like wants to cry.
Thank you baby einstein.
We wish there is a bigger Lion doll so baby can sleep together like partner.

5OK Toy by Sandy Toes

I thought this toy would have more sounds, and that the sounds would sound like the actual instrument. However, it is small and the sounds are just like any other toy-cheap keyboard sounds. My 5 month old isn't very interested, but I will keep it around and hope she at least picks it up one day. She loves the Baby Einstein lion that was on her Around the World Play Gym, so I tought she would like this. Not so much. Think of it as a noisy stuffed animal.

5Ehhh.... by TX Wife

It did not work right from the very beginning. Instead of each part playing a different instrument, sometimes they would play the same one no matter which hand or foot you pressed. It didn't last more than a month or so when one hand stopped working completely. Still, it is cute and my little guy has enjoyed it.

5Smaller than expected by Between the Lines "J

I bought this thinking it would be similar to the Leapfrog version but it is not. It is quite cute, but limited it what it does. As I said before, it is also very small.

It would be cute for a small stroller toy.

Overall, we were disappointed.

5Price is high by Siri

My daughter loves this one. My concern is the price is high compare to Target. I found the same press and play toy is 9.99 only at Target where as in Amazon I paid 12.99. Not a problem with 3 bucks, but I have a belief that Amazon always compete with other sellers. Actually this was my hubby's belief, and he made me. But I can see some of the products are cheap at other sellers. Good lesson to me, I will start comparison from next purchase onwards.
Cheers!!!

5Cute toy but... by SMil

This panda is very cute, but my 6 month old has no interest in it. Every once in awhile, he'll grab it, squeeze a paw or foot and it plays music, but it doesn't hold his interest. Maybe this will change as he gets older, but if you're looking for a fun, new toy for your child, I'd pass on this one.

5panda by shanda

its small and just plays music, i was hoping it told the kids what each instrument was or something to help them learn more.

5My 11 Month Old's Favorite by Ryan Holzer "ccChuck

My three year old chose this at the store to give to her little sister who was, then, 10 months old. The little one has loved it since the minute she got it (the Panda). She lights up when she sees it, she carries it around while she toddles, she pats it, kisses it, etc. Its a big win at our house.

5One of my daughter's favorites! by Small Animal Doc "DV

We have been using this toy for over 3-4 months and my daughter absolutely ADORES this panda! She's 5.5 mo old now and smiles so happily whenever she sees it! She's able to accidentally press the music buttons here and there, so usually I am pressing them for her (for now).
I think the contrasting colors and the strong beats are what attracts her most. This toy has also been a hit with every baby we've had playdates with as well. GREAT for getting baby's attention for photos! :D

5SUPER CUTE! by WAZ "WAZ"

THIS PANDA IS ADORABLE AND KEEPS THEM BUSY! IT ALSO HAS A PART ON THE BACK WHERE YOU CAN HANG IT ON A STROLLER OR SWING!

5Cheaper at Target by Sharah Burton "redca

My 4mo old loves this toy, the music is fun, buttons are easy to press, and its light enough for her to pick up. Three stars because it dose'nt light up, its kinda small for being almost $13, and about three days after i ordered from amazon, i was at target and found the exact same thing for around $8. Definatly recommend this item, and i am a long time amazon shopper, however in this instance, its cheaper elsewhere.

5Baby Loves It by V. Crown

I bought this toy because I had another Press and Play that played a different song. My baby is 3 months old and she loves when I bring thing out. Both the song and the lion are cute. The song plays for a few seconds.

The 2 things to note: The belly doesn't play the 5th song like my other pink bird did. Each paw alternates between the instrument pictured and the full song. I also believe the lion and the panda play the same song and I wish they were different so I could buy the whole line.

53 month old loves it! by Little A's momma

This was given to our 3 month old as a Christmas gift. She loves it! It makes her smile when she sees the panda and now that she's reaching out for toys she likes to grab at it. Music can be annoying as it's really the same tune over and over, but it's worth her enjoyment.

5Cute, but small by Jenny "Freebie Addic

I guess I should have paid more attention to the pictures online, since it gives an ideal in size according to an infant. But, I wasn't expecting it to be really small for $9.99 though.

It is however cute, and would make a great gift for my nephew who's 6 months. Just don't expect it to be a huge, stuffed toy! The buttons all work and should be easy enough for him to grab onto to make them start up to play.

Overall I'm satisfied, just wish I would have looked at the photos first!

5SMALL by Mindy

I got the lion for my baby girl, and it is VERY VERY small for the price, the music plays only for a short time, and the stomic is not a button, save your money please, I wish I would have listen to the other feedback on here.

5Turtle is SO much better by spring

My son absolutely loves the turtle from the same series. We use it during "difficult" times when a diaper needs to be changed and he doesnt want to or when he is being toweled off and dressed after bath. As soon as he hears the turtle he stops crying and listens intently.

Now the Lion. First the stomach button does not work. The 4 paws work with individual instrument music but the stomach button (which should incorporate all 4 instruments into 1 melody) does not work. I only discovered this after tearing off the packaging material, so I can not exchange it. Also the music sounds shrill to me, not at all as nice as the turtle.

So I would recommend the turtle, but would caution against the lion.

5not anything like the picture by debscolts

This was a big disappointment i have never been so fooled by the size of this item if this was the bigger of the two i hate to see what the smaller one looks like. very dissappointed
